RealFlow is an advanced fluid and multiphysics simulation software designed for 3D artists and visual effects professionals. It provides powerful tools for creating highly realistic simulations of liquids, granular materials, and both soft and rigid bodies. With seamless integration into industry-standard platforms like Autodesk 3ds Max and Maya, RealFlow streamlines workflows by offering GPU-accelerated simulations and an intuitive interface. Its high-performance solvers, including HyFLIP for large-scale fluid dynamics and Dyverso for multiphysics simulations, enable users to achieve precise, visually stunning results with efficiency.
Fluid simulation in RealFlow is both versatile and efficient. The software supports particle-based and hybrid solvers, allowing for the simulation of a wide range of liquid behaviors, from detailed splashes to vast ocean surfaces. The HyFLIP solver, also known as Hybrido2, is ideal for large-scale scenarios such as floods and oceans, while Dyverso provides rapid multiphysics simulations for smaller and mid-scale projects. With GPU acceleration, RealFlow significantly reduces computation times, allowing artists to iterate faster and refine their simulations with ease.
RealFlow's integration with Autodesk 3ds Max brings professional-grade fluid simulations directly into the 3ds Max environment. The RealFlow | 3ds Max plugin supports all built-in object types, allowing them to function as obstacles, emitters, or containers within simulations. The plugin offers precise control over physical properties like friction, stickiness, and elasticity, ensuring highly realistic interactions between fluids and objects. Users benefit from OpenVDB-based meshing for high-quality surface generation, enabling smooth and detailed fluid renders.
Beyond fluid simulations, RealFlow provides tools for simulating a variety of physical phenomena. The Caronte dynamics solver allows for realistic rigid and soft body simulations, making it possible to create detailed object interactions and deformations. RealWave is another powerful feature, designed to generate ocean surfaces with customizable wave formations and deformations. Users can further refine their projects with force daemons and falloff controls, giving them the ability to manipulate fluid motion with precision.
With scripting support for Python and C++, RealFlow offers a high degree of customization for automating workflows and extending functionality. Network simulation capabilities allow users to distribute simulation tasks across multiple machines for enhanced efficiency. Whether working on complex visual effects for film, television, or game development, RealFlow provides a comprehensive and powerful solution for high-end fluid and multiphysics simulations.
