Cinema 4D R21 Price Changes

POSTED 4th OF Sep, 2019
Maxon has changed their business model as of September 3, 2019 and has moved to a subscription based approach. We thought it would be a good idea to discuss the new Cinema 4D prices in detail.
At Siggraph 2019, Maxon announced that Cinema 4D would no longer be available in the usual 4 versions, Studio, Visualize, Broadcast and Prime. They have consolidated all versions into just C4D Studio. This version of Studio includes the full set of features and comes in perpetual, a 1-year or monthly subscription. They also now have subscription options that include a license of Redshift software.
Let's take a look at the new C4D price structure and compare it to how things used to be.
If you have a current MSA that expires between Sept. 3, 2019 and August 31, 2020, you have a couple options.
If you switch your C4D perpetual license to a 2- year subscription, you can save 20%. If you already renewed your MSA, we will deduct the remaining months from the total of the 2-year subscription so you're not losing anything you've already paid. For a personalized look at your situation, contact us and we'd be glad to help you figure out the best solution.
None of these options are available online, please contact us to purchase.
If you don't want to commit to 2-years, or can't justify spending the money right now, you can buy a Cinema 4D Subscription for 1-year, 1 month or 3 years. The price of moving to subscription is roughly the same as your current MSA renewal price.
If your new to Cinema 4D, or your C4D MSA has expired, then you have a couple options as well.
If you have a current or previous version of Cinema 4D without an active MSA, this will allow you to take advantage of the new features in Cinema 4D, without having to trade in your perpetual.
Some folks just don't like subscription, they like to own what they purchase, and we totally understand. If you fall in that category, then this is the option for you.
Cinema 4D R21 perpetual price- $3,495 (we can work with you on this, just can't advertise lower here)
**Since the MSA will no longer be available, perpetual licenses do not include subscription benefits (Cineversity and upgrades). Perpetual licensing will be managed by the same activation system as the subscription so perpetual licenses are transportable between computers.

For those customers who want floating licenses, they are still available from Motion Media. While we can't advertise the floating license prices, I can tell you that the floating licenses aren't much more expensive than the standalone subscriptions. Feel free to ask us for pricing.
As all individual cases vary, feel free to contact us for a customized quote. There are too many upgrade/crossgrade options to list, but we can get you the best option for you, we promise.
