Autodesk Concurrent Use Policy for Single User Subscriptions Autodesk Concurrent Use Policy for Single User Subscriptions

Ever wondered how many machines you can install your Autodesk subscription? Starting June 11, Autodesk is updating their concurrent use policy to make things more consistent for end users.

If you have a single-user Autodesk subscription you will now be able to install it on as many machines/devices as you want. Of course, you can still only use one device at a time, but moving from the previous install limit of 2 machines will be helpful for some users.

What changed?

  • They removed device installation limits for single-user subscriptions. Users can now install software on multiple devices and use the software on one device at a time, increasing flexibility.
  • They removed restrictions on using a desktop and mobile device concurrently. Users may need to update or review files on the go, which they can now accomplish without logging out.

These changes are enabled by new alerts when subscription users attempt to use products outside of policy, eliminating the need for installation limits*.

*Desktop software can be used on one device at a time. They currently notify customers on most desktop products when they use more than two desktop devices concurrently. Soon they will notify customers when they use more than one desktop device concurrently.
